Laura Free is an associate at Parker Mills LLP and has extensive experience litigating complex, high-exposure civil matters in state and federal court in a variety of practice areas, including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, product liability and government entity defense.
Ms. Free began her legal career at a boutique law firm representing a number of petroleum franchisees in business, real estate and personal injury disputes. Prior to joining Parker Mills, Ms. Free spent several years as a senior associate at a prominent Los Angeles law firm, and served as staff legal counsel for an international insurance company. Ms. Free is a trial attorney handling high-exposure cases from inception through trial. Her experience includes obtaining a federal class action summary judgment in favor of her clients, second-chaired a trial which resulted in a complete defense verdict in a $65 million premises liability and numerous advantageous settlements.
While in law school, Ms. Free clerked with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, served as Chair of Southwestern’s Moot Court Honors Program, and participated in Southwestern’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, where she worked on pro bono immigration matters, including in front of Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
